The grief that is experienced in response to the loss of a loved one lasts as long as it takes to adjust to the change in one’s life. It can be for months, or even years. Grief has no timetable, and is an individual process, a natural part of life. Entrust Hospice knows that taking care of yourself and accessing the support of friends and family can help you cope with your grief experience. That is why our individualized services and compassionate care are delivered by a team of professionals that includes not only nurses, physicians, and social workers, but also a non-denominational spiritual counselor, a bereavement counselor, and community liaisons.
We extend bereavement support to anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one, no matter when the death occurred, and even when the departed individual was not in Entrust’s hospice care program. Life won’t be the same after a loss, but experiencing your grief will allow you to adjust to life after loss.
